IF THE GRIM REAPER DIES

IF THE GRIM REAPER DIES, WOULD THAT CONSTITUTE A SITUATIONAL IRONY? MYRIAD OR IRONY AND PARADOXES!

That’s a brilliant question! Here’s the problem with that; the Grim Reaper is a paradox, because he’s the angel of death, so in a metaphorical sense he isn’t alive, (he’s already dead), but from a Greek mythological perspective, he’s the alive representation of death or bad omen…We’re trying to find the situational irony in a Greek mythological representation that’s both dead and alive, (simultaneously), depending on our metaphorical or mythological frame of reference…Metaphors are finding commonalities between different forms of existence, and mythologies are fictitious stories attributed to cultural, religious and social traditions..In one frame of reference we’re exploring the tangible representation of death, a personified and anthropomorphized lifelike myth; in the other frame of reference is the abstract embodiment of death or bad omen….http://mrpregnant.com/grim-reaper-dies-constitute-situatio…/ #situationalirony #paradox #linguistics #grimreaper #pinocchio #greekmythology
